Merle Barnhard

Mr. Merle Lloyd Barnhard, age 82, died Thursday, March 18, 2010. He was born in Muskegon, MI on September 26, 1927 to Fredrick & Helen (Bromley) Barnhard and married the former Colleen Moore on July 5, 1951. Mr. Barnhard had been employed as a paper machinist at SD Warren Paper Co. for 33 years until retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Muskegon Eagles. Merle loved to go to stock car races. He will be dearly missed. SURVIVORS Wife of 58 years, Colleen; sons, Merle "Chops" Barnhard, Dean (Michelle "Missy") Barnhard; daughters, Deborah (John) Stolcenburg, Nancy (Jim) Kolar, all of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Dale (Linda) Barnhard of Muskegon; sisters, Maxine Boucher, Donna Benson, Joyce (Dick) Pulsifer, all of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Michael; granddaughters, Colleen Abbey, Shana Marie; brothers, Robert, Warren; sister, Margaret Hill. SERVICE Monday, March 22, 2010, 1:00 PM at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with visitation 1 hour prior to the service and Rev. David Cadle officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL: Harbor Hospice.
