Melvina Anderson

Miss Melvina Elva Anderson, age 91, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015. She was born in Whitehall, Michigan on March 9, 1924 to Emil & Gunhild (Ling) Anderson. Miss Anderson had been employed at Mars Candy Co. on the Snickers line for 41 years until retiring in 1983. Melvina was a member of River Grove Baptist Church in Chicago. Miss Anderson loved to travel around the states with friends and family. She was a supporter of the Muskegon Rescue Mission, enjoyed ballroom dancing, swimming and skating and loved music. She loved music so much you could hear her play anything on the organ, Hawaiian guitar and mandolin. She will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Sister, Esther Benson of Rothbury; sister-in-law, Maryann Anderson of Whitehall; many nieces, nephews, great and great, great nieces & nephews. SERVICE Saturday, October 31, 2015, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Whitehall United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary A. Sweet officiating. Interment in Oakhurst Cemetery.
