Melvin Laflame

Mr. Melvin E. LaFlame, age 75, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010. He was born in Muskegon Heights, MI on June 16, 1935 to Charles & Daisy (Long) LaFlame and served his country in the US Army. Melvin married the former Donna Zielinski on December 27, 1958. Mr. LaFlame had been employed as a shipping clerk at Brunswick for 44 years until retiring. He was a member of the Muskegon Heights Eagles and Moose Lodge. Melvin enjoyed fast cars, bowling, fishing and hanging out with his friends. SURVIVORS Wife of 51 years, Donna; children, Kevin (Kim Dawes) LaFlame of Fruitport, Kristi (Scott) Anderson of Muskegon; grandchildren, Kyle John Anderson, Brandon Mel Anderson, Steven & Gregory Dawes; twin brother, Mervin LaFlame; sisters, Alta LaFlame of Montague, Betty (Everett) Benshoof of Las Vegas; several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. SERVICE Wednesday, August 25, 2010, 2:00 PM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Pastor Ken Shady officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Wednesday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: American Cancer Society.
