Melissa Sue Shafer, 44, of Grand Haven, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025.

Melissa was born August 30, 1980, the daughter of Sabrina and Michael Shafer. Melissa worked at Kandu Industries and at Café Morning Star. She also volunteered at the YMCA and enjoyed camping at Kibby Creek. She enjoyed bowling, camping, her purses, lotto tickets, and build a bear. She was a positive, kind, loving woman who will be deeply missed.

SURVIVORS

Melissa is survived by: her parents, Michael and Sabrina Shafer; brother David (Kelly) Shafer; nieces, Sophie, Isabel, Lillie, and Rhyse; nephew, Bryson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Mary Lou and Al Barnes, and Gerry and Patricia Shafer; uncle Bill; and aunt Kathy Ann.

SERVICES

Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Grace Assembly of God 2956 E Pontaluna Road Fuitport MI 49415. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
