Melissa Sue Jackson was born June 12, 1985, in Muskegon, Michigan. She lived in Whitehall with her parents and siblings, and various pets of all sizes. She attended WMU in Kalamazoo, did her student teaching at Shoreline Elementary School in Whitehall, and graduated in April 2007 with a degree in education. She dreamed of being a teacher from the time she was small and was in the process of moving to Colorado to fulfill that dream. This past summer, she worked in Glen Arbor, making many new friends with her infectious smile and love for life. Her surviving family includes her parents, Wayne and Pat; siblings, Cristin and Brian (fiancee' Kate); grandparents, Howard, Katie and Connie; aunts and uncles, Carol and Tom, Kathy and Larry; and cousins, Lynn, Paula, Jennifer and Jeannine. FUNERAL LITURGY: Thursday, August 23, 2007, at 11:00 AM, at St. James Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Chris W. Rouech presiding. Interment will be made in Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Montague. VIGIL SERVICE: Wednesday, 7:00 PM, at the church. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday, 5-8 PM, at St. James Catholic Church, 5179 Dowling St., Montague.
