Mcmillan, Robert Hugh

Mr. Robert H. McMillan, age 78, of North Muskegon, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2006 at Hackley Hospital. He was born September 27, 1928 in Dalton, MI to the late James I. and Florence M. (Hein) McMillan. Mr. McMillan served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War stationed in Germany. He was a member of Don Rea VFW Post #8846, a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, and was retired from Neway. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley (Rector); and his brother, Lynne McMillan. Surviving are his wife, Jane E. (Sobish), of 30 years of marriage; children: Dennis (Laurie) McMillan, Terri (Dick) Cunningham, Pat (Ray) Swanson, and Ralph (Cheryl) Berggren; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Bernie (Minnie) McMillan; and sister, Evelyn Ramey. Memorial Mass will be Thursday, November 16th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Woods, 150 Church St., Twin Lake with Father Chris Rouech officiating. Relatives and friends may meet his family at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. (one hour prior to the service). For those who wish, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association or to St. Mary of the Woods.
