Mrs. Annette J. McGruder, age 50, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007 after an eight month battle with cancer. She was born August 14, 1956 in Muskegon to Joseph P. and Edna E. (Swarvar) Gabris. She loved raising dogs and traveling. She married Bill McGruder and he survives her along with 1 daughter, Angie LaPorte; 2 grandchildren, Bryan & Travis Barnes; 3 brothers, John (Diane), Joe (Jeannie), and Alan (Sharon) Gabris; 2 sisters, Carol (John) Jodon and Gayl (Mike) Berryhill; along with her mother-in-law, Marjorie Barber; 3 sisters-in-law, Vicki Stansberry, Etta Foltynewicz, and Carolyn Gabris; and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Gene Gabris. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 4 PM Saturday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Deacon David Kasprzyk presiding. VISITATION with Annette's family will be one-hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONSIDERATIONS to the family would be appreciated.
