Maxwell W. "Butch" Horton

Mr. Maxwell W. "Butch" Horton, age 65, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007. He was born in Muskegon, MI on April 6, 1942 to Maxwell & Louella (Veihl) Horton and married the former Julie Bull on May 21, 1987. Mr. Horton had been employed in maintenance at Sappi for 42 years until retiring in 2002. He was a former member of Muskegon Vikings. He enjoyed Music, polka, camping, cooking, his guitar, and his dogs, Toby and Lucy. SURVIVORS Wife, Julie; 1 son, Dan Butler; 8 daughters, Angie (Chad) Houghtaling, Tami Horton, Karra (Bart) Maitland, Pat (Mark) Ostrum, Sheri (Rudy) Lampen, Vicki Ketner, Stephanie Ries, and Connie Vallard; 20 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Janet (Richard) Finneman of North Muskegon and Sandy (Roger) Merkins of Muskegon; 1 brother, Chris (Rose) Horton of Fruitport; and several nieces and nephews.
