Maxine V. "Margaret" Miller

Mrs. Maxine V. "Margaret" Miller, age 87, went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 19, 2008 in Huntsville, AL. She was born August 14, 1921 in Oceana County, MI to Fredrick & Eleanor (Bevins) Gilbert and moved to Muskegon in 1952 where she resided until moving to Alabama 3 years ago to be near her daughter, Darlene. Margaret was a devoted mother and was a member of Calvary Church where she had previously been an AWANA worker. On June 29, 1940 she married Ernol Miller and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gordon and sister, Thelma Monroe. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Floyd Miller of Muskegon, Lorraine (Ted) Hall of Big Rapids, Edward (Tansi) Miller of Muskegon, Marilyn (Bruce) McGhan of Bitely and Darlene (Gary) Stark of Harvest, AL; daughter-in-law, Bea Huber; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Ruth Nelson of Traverse City, MI. SERVICES will be 11 AM Tuesday at Calvary Church (5873 Kendra Rd.) with Pastor Terry Fulk officiating. Burial will be in Volney Cemetery, Newaygo Co., MI at 2:30 PM. VISITATION with Margaret's family will be one-hour prior to the service at church. MEMORIAL GIFTS TO Harbor Hospice or Calvary Church will be appreciated.
