We are sorry to share that Maxine Joan Hendrick (Kulicamp) has left her earthly body and joined our Lord in Heaven, leaving this earth on October 23, 2020 with family by her side. As many of you know, Maxine loved Cardinals. She and Clieve spent countless hours watching the birds in their backyard and Cardinals were a favorite. And with good reason, Cardinals represent devotion, loving relationships, courtship, and monogamy. All things Maxine espoused. Maxine joins her parents, Gerritt and Mina Kulicamp, in-laws, William and Leone Hendrick, Brother Robert Kulicamp and sister, Mary Freiberg, grandson, Garret Cornfield, sons-in-law, Douglas Cornfield, Kenneth Dugan and many others on her heavenly journey. Maxine is survived by her husband and partner of over 70 years, Clieve Hendrick, daughters-Susan Cornfield-Dugan, Beth (Del) Haagsma, and Joan (Bret) Kronlein. Grandchildren-Kathleen (Dustin) Holland, Steven (Lindsey) Cornfield; Joshua Haagsma, Rachel (Aaron) McConaughy, Holly Haagsma; Maggie (Joseph) Williams, Jessica (Randy) White, Catie (Andrew) Engle, and William Kronlein. Great grandchildren: Brady, Grace, and Ben Holland, Mason McConaughy, Milo Williams, and Warren Engle. Maxine also leaves behind her brother, Dennis (Carol) Kulicamp, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends-Joanne and Bill Bos, and Wayne and Monique Kahrs. Maxine loved spending time with family, reading, watching old movies, crossword puzzles, a good cup of coffee, shopping, and visiting with friends and relatives. Maxine was an active member of the Community United Methodist church, singing in the choir and was a member of Sarah's Circle serving and attending faithfully for over 50 years. She was a 'red-hatter' and enjoyed bus trips to plays, shopping, and food. Maxine was the main operator of the 'Hendrick Hot Line', relaying messages between all her daughters about what was happening with each. They could count on Mom spreading the word. The Hendrick Hot Line will live on in another form now that she's not at the helm. A favorite family story is about the time someone called the house, a wrong number, but mom had a conversation with them anyway. It was apparent she loved people and searched for the best in each. In lieu of flowers, the Hendrick family requests donations to be made in Maxine's name to Community United Methodist Church, 1614 Ruddiman Drive, Muskegon, MI 49445. A memorial service for Maxine's life will be on November 14, 2020 at Clock Funeral Home. The viewing is from 10-11 a.m. with the service commencing at 11 a.m. Please remember to wear your mask. Maxine's service will be streamed on Facebook at Community United Methodist-North Muskegon. Arrangements by Clock Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Spectrum Hospice for their care and support. Just know, when you see a Cardinal, Maxine is with you in spirit and love.
