Max Russell Carlson

CARLSON, MR. MAX Muskegon Mr. Max Carlson, age 80, died Thursday, February 10, 2005. He was born in Muskegon, MI on May 27, 1924 to Russell & Rosamond Campbell Carlson & married the former Evangeline Denman on November 30, 1946. Mr. Carlson served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 44th Field Artillery Battalion. He was in Normandy, Battle of the Bulge, Liberation of Paris & invasion of Germany. Mr. Carlson had been employed as a Truck Driver until retiring in 1986. He was a life member of VFW & the American Legion. SURVIVORS Wife, Evangeline; 2 sons, Colin R. Carlson of OR & Dennis D. Tina Carlson of Ravenna; 2 daughters; K. Diane Paul Gajeski of Muskegon & Nancy Jarles of Muskegon; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Colleen Jim Johnson of Muskegon, Gwen Jerry Langlois of Ferrysburg & Jackie Johnson of Newaygo; 1 brother, Jerry Terri Carlson of Fruitport; many nieces & nephews. SERVICE Monday, February 14, 2005, 1:00 PM at Clock Chapel. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Sunday, 7-9 PM and Monday, Noon - 1PM at Clock Funeral Home.
