Matthew James Carten

Carten, Matthew James Twin Lake, Michigan Matthew James Carten, 3-21-83 - 6-30-22 of Muskegon recently passed away. He is survived by his wife Katharine Ann (May) Carten, two sons, Alexander Michael and Daniel Patrick Carten and his parents Sarah Wheeler and Mark Wheeler and Shawn Carten and his twin brother James Matthew and Janel Carten and sister Kaliegh Wheeler, brother Jason Carten. Matt served his country in the US Army as a combat veteran of the Iraq War. And was a member of VFW Post 3195 in Norton Shores. Matt was a valued employee at Roskam Bakery in Grand Rapids for over 10 years. Matt was a friend to everyone who knew him. Matt was so loved, and he will be missed by many. He took great pleasure in his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and two sons. And they with him. He was skilled in his handiwork as he and his wife remodeled their home. What he didn't already know he learned. If there was a project that needed doing, he always figured out a way to get it done. Nothing was too big or too small for him to handle.
