Matthew Christie

Mr. Matthew Christie, age 52, died suddenly Tuesday evening, August 14, 2007 while riding his bike near his home in Traverse City. He was born on September 13, 1954 in Muskegon, MI to Paul and Gretchen Christie. He attended North Muskegon High School, where he was a proud member of the 1971 State Class C Championship football team. He graduated from Central Michigan University. He worked in the petroleum industry in Northern Michigan. He enjoyed golfing and fishing and being surrounded by friends. SURVIVORS Matt is survived by his loving daughter, Jessica of Traverse City; his brother Paul (Nancy) Christie of North Muskegon; his niece, Aubrey (Erik) Pancy; and nephew, Brian Christie of Los Angeles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Gretchen Christie. SERVICES A remembrance will be held Saturday, August 25 at the North Muskegon Community Center at 11am. He has been cremated. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
