Mary Winchel

Mrs. Mary Winchel, age 92, passed away Thursday August 2, 2007 surrounded by family at her granddaughter's home, in Nunica, MI. She was born March 28, 1915 in Three Rivers, MI. The former Mary Bowen married Murlen Winchel June 22, 1934. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1995, and they enjoyed 63 years together. Mrs. Winchel was a school bus driver for Muskegon Public Schools for over 20 years. She was the first deputized safety patrol officer in Muskegon Co. and a member of the Muskegon Area Retired School Personnel. She is survived by 2 sons, Max (Katherine) Winchel of Marcellus, MI, and Marshall (June) Winchel of Norton Shores, MI; 3 daughters, Maxine Straley of Centerville, MI, Margaret Holden of Nunica, MI, and Marylee (Charles) Vallie of Norton Shores, MI; 1 sister, Mrs. Pearl Yoder of Shipshewana, IN; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday August 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M at the Young Funeral Home. Burial Norton Cemetery. MEMORIALS: Please make Donation to the family.
