Mary Schumann

Mrs. Mary F. Schumann, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. She was born in Muskegon, MI on October 4, 1916 and was a lifelong resident. In 1955, she married John C. "Jake" Schumann, Jr., who was one of the founders of Michigan Spring Company. Mary owned Kielar's Market on 6th Street, along with her brother, Frank and sister, Rose. She was a devoted member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. SURVIVORS Sister, Rose Peterman. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and siblings, Frank and Anthony (age 7) and brother-in-law Louis Peterman. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Monday, June 4, 2012 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Brown officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday 7:00-8:00 PM with the Rosary Prayed at 8:00 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home-Muskegon. MEMORIAL: In Mary's memory a gift can be given to St. Michael's Catholic Church or the Charity of Your Choice.
