LAFKAS, MRS. MARY Z. Norton Shores, MI Mrs. Mary K. Lafkas, age 84, died Wednesday, October 31, 2001. She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, MI on February 27, 1917 to John & Demetra Harabakou Zervas & married Alexander T. Lafkas in Sault Ste. Marie, MI on May 25, 1941. Mrs. Lafkas was a homemaker & a partner in A Catering. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her family & many friends who will miss her caring ways & wonderful pastries & breads. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, the Ladies Philoptohos Society, Eastern Star Chapter 88 & the Daughters of Penelope. SURVIVORS: Husband, Alex; 1 daughter, Helene Constantine Georgalan of Madison, WI; 1 son, George Lafkas of E. Lansing; grandchildren, Maria Paul Davis, Peter Georgalan, Demetra Lafkas, Alexander G. Lafkas & Andrew D. Lafkas; 1 sister, Helen Copoulos of Milwaukee, WI; 1 brother, Spiro Zervas of Toldeo, OH; sister-in-law, Emily Sedaris of Chicago, IL & a brother-in-law, Nicholas Lafkas of Greece. SERVICE: Saturday, November 3, 2001, 10:30 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Steven Yankopoulos & Fr. James Bogdan officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Clock Funeral Home. A Trisagian service will be held at 7:30 PM during visitation. MEMORIAL: Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
