Mary Jo Grimm

Mrs. Mary J. Grimm, age 80, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014. She was born in Detroit, MI on April 25, 1934 to William & Josephine (Rice) Detamore and married George L. Grimm Jr. on May 1, 1954. Mrs. Grimm had been employed at Arthur Murrays's School of Dance and at JC Penney for 10 years until retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, St. Michael's Catholic Church of Brunswick and Muskegon Eagles Women's Auxiliary. Mary Jo was a devoted catholic who loved to dance but could frequently be seen in the casinos. She also enjoyed spending much of her time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Sons, Terry (Pam) Grimm, Michael (Darlene) Grimm, Bob Grimm; daughter, Stacy (Kevin Gue) Blackman; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Paula) Detamore; sister, Elaine (Gary) Stromp; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger (Faye) Grimm, Dale (Evelyn) Grimm, Barb (Jim) Black, Raymond (Joy) Grimm, Bill (Karen) Grimm, Carolyn Pavlak, Diane Grimm, Valerie (Bruce) Anderson; many nieces, nephews and friends; her beloved dog, Mitzi. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents; son, Jerry; sister, Claire Detamore; brothers, Bill (Lorretta) Detamore and Bob (Shirley) Detamor.
