BUCKLEY, MISS MARY ELLEN "MOLLIE" North Muskegon Miss Mary E. Buckley, age 88, died Thursday, August 11, 2005. She was born in Grand Rapids on October 10, 1916 to Philip & Elizabeth Doran Buckley. Miss Buckley graduated from St. Mary's High School and Mercy Central School of Nursing. She received her B.A. in Nursing Education from Marquette University and received an M.A. in Nursing from Michigan State University. She had been employed as part of the nursing faculty at Marquette University in Medical Surgical Nursing, was the Assistant Director of Nursing at Mercy Hospital, & the Education Director at Mercy Central School of Nursing in Muskegon. Miss Buckley was the Past President of Michigan District Nurses Association, a hospital & nursing consultant at the Michigan Dept of Public Health, & retired from the Michigan Board of Nursing for Licensing & Registration. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. SURVIVORS Brother, M. Philip Margaret Buckley of Norton Shores; brother-in-law, Alfred J. Perri of North Muskegon; sister-in-law, Monica Buckley of Muskegon; several nieces & nephews; cousin, Marlene Leo Kuhn of Angola, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William K. Buckley, Patrick J. Buckley; sisters, Elizabeth Buckley, Alice Perri, Bernadine Carlson, Dorothea Perri, Helen Perri. SERVICE Monday, August 15, 2005, 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Hart officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 8:00 PM. MEMORIAL: Mary Ellen Buckley Nursing Scholarship Fund, c/o Muskegon County Catholic Education Fund.
