Mary "Sue" Andree, 92, of Muskegon, MI passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024.

She was born on April 9, 1932 in Graham, TX to Winston and Hazel McCombs and raised by her mother and stepfather J.B. Colley. After graduation Sue worked at Sheppard Airforce Base in Wichita Falls, TX where she met her husband, Louis. They married August 8, 1953 then moved to Michigan where they made their home. She was primarily a homemaker but also worked at Brunswick, Winters Variety Store and was a bus driver. Sue was a lifelong member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church in North Muskegon where she enjoyed many years singing in the choir. She also served as a volunteer at Hackley Hospital for many years. Sue was an avid reader, expert level Scrabble player and loved chocolate! While Sue had many hobbies, her primary joy in life came from spending time with her family.

The family would like to express gratitude towards Deanna, Jean, Kennadi, Becki, Sarah and Emily who lovingly helped provide care for her these past few years.

SURVIVORS

Sue is survived by her children Carol (Dave) VanDuinen, Mary (Doug) Spoelma and Mike (Carie) Andree, and grandchildren Leanne (Mike) VanBeek, Aaron (Emily) VanDuinen, Katie (Jonathan) Trotter, Ross (Mindy) Spoelma, Drew (Madi Pearce) Andree, and Faith (Caleb Scheele) Andree and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death in 2010 by her husband, Louis.

SERVICE

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church. Please join the family for a taco dinner (her favorite meal) and visitation from 4:00-6:00 followed by the service which will begin at 6:00PM at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Laketon Bethel or Harbor Hospice.
