MCMANAMEY, MR. MARVIN EUGENE Ferrysburg, MI Mr. Marvin Eugene McManamey, age 78, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at home. He was born in Fruitport, MI on October 15, 1923 to John & Edna Peterson McManamey & married the former Jane Johnson in Muskegon in 1949. Mr. McManamey served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII having earned the Decoration of Victory Medal, the American Theater Ribbon, the Astaic Pacific Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Battle Stars, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with two Bronze Battle Stars, three Overseas Bars as well as the Good Conduct Medal. He was employed by Consumers Power Co. as a tree trimmer & had also worked as a patternmaker in Lansing. Mr. McManamey was a member of the B'hai faith & enjoyed crossword puzzles, birdwatching & socializing with friends. SURVIVORS 2 sons, Henry Diana McManamey of Ferrysburg, MI & John McManamey of Long Beach, CA; 1 daughter, Bonnie Corbett of Baldwin, MI; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Betty Weise of Fruitport, MI; several nieces, nephews & special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jane in June of 1987; 2 brothers, Charles McManamey & James McManamey & by 1 sister, Eleanor Shields.
