Mr. Marvin A. "Squeek" Dausman, age 65, passed away Monday evening, July 2, at his home. He was born June 19, 1942 to Louis and Reba (Jackson) Dausman in Mt. Vernon, IN, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1955. He worked at Standard Automotive/Burgess-Norton Manufacturing for 36 years, retiring in 2002, and was also a volunteer fireman for Egelston Township for 15 years. Marv was an active member of Faith Bible Church, where he served on the board, and enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, traveling, and camping. He was also a volunteer Boy Scout Leader in Egelston Township for several years. On July 25, 1959 he married Sandra Mulnix. SURVIVORS include his wife Sandra; 5 sons, Kevin (Cindy) Dausman of Ravenna, David (Robin) Dausman of Hamilton, Robert (Rhonda) Dausman of Holton, Marvin (Carrie) Dausman, Jr. of Grand Haven, James (Missy) Dausman of Muskegon; 22 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; twin-brother, Melvin (Blanche) Dausman of Muskegon; 1 sister, Janice (Bruce) Moore of Fruitport; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and step-father Marcus Shirley. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Saturday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Pastor Joe Galy officiating. Burial will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service.
