Marva Hermine Garvey

Garvey, Marva Hermine Muskegon, Michigan Marva Hermine Garvey, age 88, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 4, 1934 to Matthew & Marva (Borgeson) Dwyer and attended St. Mary's Catholic School. Marva was a professional seamstress and also owned Marva's Bridal for many years. She and her husband owned ServiceMaster for many years as well. Marva was very active in her children's lives, serving as a Brownie, Girl Scout, and Cub Scout leader, and as President of the PTA at their Reeths Puffer elementary school. Later in life she was an ethusiastic supporter of all her grandchildren's sporting, musical and arts activities. Marva was an avid golfer and local tournament champion, playing in multiple leagues through the years. Her greatest love and inspiration was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. SURVIVORS 2 Sons, Steven (Karen Ulrich) Garvey of Muskegon, Scott Garvey of FL; Daughter, Kay (Joe) Jaenicke of Muskegon; grandchildren, Joey (Kaitlin Ellenburg) Jaenicke, Emily (Joe) Turek; Lauren (Dr. Patrick Pavwoski) Jaenicke; great grandchild, Ezra Pavwoski; and great grandchild Turek on the way. 2 sisters Kathleen (Ron) Stolzman, Hermine (Leon) Young; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles Dwyer, and former spouse William R. Garvey.
