KNUPPENBURG, MR. MARTIN W. "MARTY" Fruitport Mr. Martin W. Knuppenburg, age 72, went to be with his Lord Thursday, October 14, 2004. He was born in Lake City, Michigan on January 3, 1932 to Merle & Minnie Auten Knuppenburg & married the former Norma Slate. Mr. Knuppenburg served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korea Conflict. He had been employed as a Millwright at S.D. Warren for 27years until retiring in 1994. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport. Mr. Knuppenburg enjoyed gardening, taking care of the church lawn & helping others. But foremost was his family. SURVIVORS Wife, Norma; 3 daughters, Cathy Fred Cherrette of W. Olive, MI Theresa Freddy Carranza of Holland, MI & Charlotte Andy Flick of Fruitport; 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cody, Renee, Eric, trevor, Allie, Raquel & Alicia; 1 brother, Keith Knuppenburg of Detroit; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Whittum & 1 brother, Lewis J. Knuppenburg. SERVICE Sunday, October 17, 2004, 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport with Pastor Steve Worth officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Saturday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport. MEMORIAL: Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport. Clock - Fruitport
