Martha Williams

Mrs. Martha C. Williams, age 96, died Saturday, July 4, 2009. She was born in Atlanta, MI on July 5, 1912 to John & Frances (McMurphy) Stephens and married Carl Williams on November 5, 1936. Mrs. Williams had been a Homemaker. She attended Twin Lake United Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting, traveling, camping & her flower garden. SURVIVORS Children, Salley (Ken) Furman of Twin Lake, Don (Sandy) Williams of Hudsonville, Pat (Ron) Smith of Lansing, Jereva (Doug) Christensen of Pinckney, Carla Davis of CO; 17 grandchildren; several great & great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Audrey (Art) Hayden of Pinconning; sister, Thelma Tuttle of Luther; sisters-in-law, Reva (Junior) Small of FL, Ardith (Dusty) Newman of CO; special nieces & nephews, Peggy Williams, Jeff & Debbie Williams & several others. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1988; 2 children, Charles Williams in 1969 & Beverly Williams in 1938; 3 grandchildren; 9 brothers & 3 sisters. SERVICE Saturday, July 25, 2009, 1:00 PM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Twin Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Doherty officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL: Harbor Hospice, Meals on Wheels, or Comfort Keepers.
