Martha King

Martha E. King, age 85, of Twin Lake, died Friday, July 3, 2009. She was born in Muskegon on August 20, 1923 to George and Mary (Franks) Mocherman. In 1973 at Muskegon, she married Walter King, who preceded her in death in 2005. Martha was employed as an engine inspector at Teledyne Continental Motors until her retirement. She was a member of the Orchard View Congregational Church and was the former secretary for the Greater Muskegon Women's Bowling Association. Martha is survived by 2 nieces, Kathy (Thomas) Badgerow of Ypsilanti and Robin (Frank) Zukiewicz of Muskegon; special cousin, Connie (Mike) Corder of Twin Lake; several nieces and nephews and cousins; step-children, Linda (Mark) Arseneau of Twin Lake, Larry (Jane) King of Kokomo, IN and Brian (Patsy) King of Muskegon; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Walter, she was also preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Sabo on August 17, 1957; her parents; 2 sisters and 4 brothers. The Funeral Service for Martha will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Tate-King Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Lester officiating. Interment will be in the Mona View Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's.
