Martha Dodge

Mrs. Martha Dodge, age 87, passed away Wednesday May 2, 2007 in Muskegon, MI at Harbor Poppen House after a short illness. Martha was born April 29, 1920 in Muskegon, MI to the late Richard and Emma (Haffenbrack) Denhof. The former Martha Denhof married her beloved husband Kenneth (Pee Wee) Dodge Sr. January 21, 1951 in Saginaw, MI. He preceded her in death February 1, 2004. Along with working at Anaconda Corporation, Mrs. Dodge worked in numerous positions throughout her life but is adoringly remembered by patrons of the West Side Inn as a loving but tough bartender and cook. Martha is survived by 1 son, Kenneth Jr. (Brigitte) Dodge Jr. of Twin Lake, MI and 1 daughter, Susan Dodge of Muskegon, MI; several grandchildren, Kathy, Linda, Kim, Susan, Kenneth, Andrew, Tiffany, Ashley and Madalyn; many Great and great great grandchildren; special friend,Martha (Mert) Barnes. Mrs. Dodge was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, Richard and Sherman (Denhof), Betty (Ralph) (Newville). MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday May 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Light Fire Escape Cafe, 2731 Peck Street (One block north of Broadway) Pastor Doug Malear presiding. MEMORIALS: To Hope Fire Escape Care.
