Martha Choquette, 86, died peacefully at her Muskegon home with her daughters present on December 2, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. Henry Choquette, and a daughter, Marita Elizabeth Choquette. She is survived by her daughters Ann (Charles) Myers of Los Gatos, CA and Paula (Robert) Rachal of Greensboro, NC and grandchildren Peter Myers, Claire Myers and Tyler Rachal. Mrs. Choquette was a lover of music and art and active with the West Shore Symphony Orchestra as well as the Muskegon Museum of Art, where she served as president of the Volunteer Board and was an active docent. An eager traveler, she enjoyed learning about new places to visit. She was a member of St. Gregory's Episcopal Church for thirty years. A memorial service celebrating her life will take place at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church in Muskegon on Saturday, December 13 at 3pm with visitation at the church from 2pm - 3pm. The family requests that her friends wear bright colors and scarves. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the West Shore Symphony Orchestra or the Muskegon Museum of Art. The family wishes to thank Harbor Hospice for its care and kind assistance.
