Mr. Mark E. Spinner, age 47, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen House. He was born on August 11, 1960 in Nunica, MI to Joseph and Gladys (Busman) Spinner and lived in the area most of his life until recently moving to Wayland. Mark worked for Kamminga and Roodvoets as a heavy equipment operator for the past 15 years. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, enjoyed gardening, loved to cook, and spend time with his children. On February 27, 2005 he married the former Lisa Start and she survives him along with 3 children, Steven M. Spinner of Grand Haven, Brent E. Spinner of Nunica, Brittany M. Spinner of Spring Lake; 5 step-children, Evan (Samantha) Miller of Muskegon, Jared Miller of Big Rapids, Joel Miller of Nunica, Vaughn Miller and Megan Miller both of Big Rapids; 1 grandson, Evan Jr.; mother, Gladys Spinner; 5 brothers, Larry (Raelynn) Spinner, Ron (Michelle) Spinner, Dale (Leah) Spinner, David (Deb) Spinner, Paul (Vicki) Spinner; 2 sisters, Gayle (Dan) VenRoy and Tina (Dan) Wiltenburg; brother-in-law, Jim (Marilyn) Start; step-parents, Jim and Billie Klenk and Jim and Gina Start; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Spinner. SERVICES will be 1PM Thursday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Scott Church officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-9 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the education savings account in Lisa Spinner's name, for the children's college education will be appreciated.
