Mark Beede

Mark Alan Beede, age 68, sadly passed away on October 19, 2025. Born in Muskegon, MI on May 10, 1957, he was the son of John and Joanne (Lautenschlager) Beede. After graduating from Mona Shores High School in 1975, Mark served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate aboard the USS Kitty Hawk.

Mark dedicated much of his working life to the Muskegon Correctional Facility as a power plant operator until he retired in 2011. He also ran his own business, J & J Delivery, until 2024. Beyond work, Mark had a passion for playing pool and cards, especially cribbage. He took great pleasure in doing yard work and cherished the moments spent with family.

He leaves behind his two sons, Justin and John Beede, along with his brother Don (Chelly) Beede, his sisters Cheri (Tony) Venier and LeighAnn Beede, and his beloved nieces Samantha and Kimberly and nephew Nik. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Chris Beede.
