Mrs. Marjorie Ruth Hydorn, age 94, passed away Saturday night, July 27, 2013 to join her God in Heaven. She was born in Cleveland, OH on December 1, 1918 to William & Ethel (Reed) Bremer and married J. Douglas Hydorn on December 24, 1938. Ruth had been a bookkeeper at Gear Research for years until retiring in 1983. She loved gardening and traveling but most of all, her family. Ruth was a kind-spirited, loving woman with a special graciousness that all who knew her, felt. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Brookhaven for the loving care she received. We would also like to thank her friend Ben for his kindness and care. SURVIVORS Ruth is survived by her daughters, Marjorie J. Nash, Sandy R. Raymond both of Muskegon, and Barbara A. (Dennis) DeVries of Wayland; grandchildren, Kimberly D. (Matthew Tighe) Nash, Kelly N. Thurston, Melissa D. Collins all of Muskegon and Briana J. Keil of Grand Rapids; step grandchildren, Shawn DeVries, Sarah DeVries, Dennis (Sharon) DeVries Jr.; five great grandchildren, Shelby, Paris, Colby, Gavin and Trinity; five step great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J. Douglas Hydorn in 1997; her parents; son-in-law, Shelby N. Nash; grandson-in-law, Alexander A. Thurston; sister, Elizabeth Cistone; brother, William Bremer Jr. SERVICE Saturday, August 3, 2013, 11:00 AM and visitation one hour prior to the service at Temple United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Bowman officiating. Private family interment at Fruitport Pinehill Cemetery. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, donations to Brookhaven Medical Facility or Temple United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
