Marjorie L. Hitchcock, age 85, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008. She was born in Muskegon, MI on June 27, 1923 to William & Elsie (Brandel) Hine and married Frank Hitchcock on November 27, 1946. Marjorie had been employed as a teacher at Muskegon Heights Public Schools for more than 30 years until retiring. She was an active member of Central United Methodist Church, participating in various activities such as, Circle of Friends, Church Circle & Book Club. Marjorie wintered in AZ at the Voyager RV Resort and was active in the Muskegon Garden Club, Eastern Star Organization, Red Hat Society, P.E.O. Chapter CY and the local Teachers' Club. SURVIVORS Son, David (Debbie) Hitchcock of Grand Rapids; daughter, Susan (John Grabber) Merigan of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Matt (Nicole) Hitchcock, Ben Hitchcock; great granddaughter, Sydney Hitchcock. SERVICE Friday, September 5, 2008, 11:00 AM at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Randall Hansen officiating. Interment at Hart Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 7-9 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Central United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Charity of your Choice.
