She was born in Detroit, MI on March 3, 1923 to Eldin & Rose Stowe Plain & married Arvid Niemi on April 5, 1947 in Detroit, MI. Mrs. Niemi was a homemaker & enjoyed quilting. Survivors: Husband, Arvid; 3 sons, Tom Karen Niemi of DeWitt, IA, Ken Cheryl Niemi of Highland Park, NJ & Fred Laura Niemi of Cary, NC; daughter Becky Jeff Addison of Omaha, NE; 8 grand-children, Paul, Jennifer, Sarah, Elena, Amelia, Julia, Hillary & Heather; sister, Joyce Near of St. Mary's, Ontario CAN; brother, Frank Plain. Mrs. Niemi was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Fred & by a sister, Shirley. Service: Friday, October 4, 2002, 11:00 AM at the Clock Funeral Home with Rev. Denise Downs officiating.
