MACPHERSON, MR. MARION E. "MAC" Muskegon Mr. Marion E. MacPherson, age 84, died Friday, April 1, 2005. He was born in Central Lake, Michigan on January 7, 1921 to Marion & Daisy Blakley MacPherson & married the former Betty Jane Carlson on October 18, 1947. Mr. MacPherson served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He received his BA & MA from Michigan State. Mr. MacPherson had been employed as a Superintendent at Orchard View Public Schools for 33 years until retiring in 1984. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. SURVIVORS Wife, Betty; 3 sons, Dale MacPherson of Muskegon, David JoAnne MacPherson of Muskegon & Wayne MacPherson of Wyoming, MI; 2 daughters, Leah Hank Hawley of Grand Haven & Judy Higgins of Norton Shores; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul MacPherson; 3 sisters, Dorthy, Doris & Montana & by 2 brothers, Oakley & Donavon. SERVICE Wednesday, April 6, 2005, 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Fred Halde officiating. Interment at Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
