Marilyn Colson

Marilyn J. Colson, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. She went to be with the love of her life, George W. Colson, who preceded her in death on June 11, 1986. Marilyn was born on February 13, 1930 to Roy & Edna (Barbour) Stephenson in Grand Rapids, MI. She was a wonderful wife, mother & grandma. She enjoyed being with her family and her house was always the "meeting place". SURVIVORS Children, Pat Chase of Muskegon, Pam (Don) Arndt of Spring Lake, Susan (Terry) Miller of Muskegon, Paula (Denny) DeWall of Muskegon, Bruce (Cindy) Colson of Muskegon, Dave (Brigitte) Colson of Muskegon, Deb (Greg) Dietz of Muskegon; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Marlene) Stephenson, Russell (Mary Ann) Stephenson, Lois DeVries; best friend, Evelyn Gaudette. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; son-in-law, Paul Chase; grandchildren, Jeff Chase & Chad Harjer; 1 sister & 2 brothers. SERVICE Friday, May 1, 2009, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel. Interment at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 6-8 PM and Friday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Life Story Funeral Home.
