Marie Louise Reinertson

Mrs. Marie Louise Reinertson died Friday, June 6, 2008, at the age of 92. She was born in Muskegon on April 7, 1916. The former Marie Ringler married Marvin Walter Reinertson on October 7, 1939. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1976. She married Norman H. Borgman on December 30, 1977 and he preceded her in death on September 29, 1979. She then married William G. Olsen on July 27, 1991. Mr. Olsen preceded her in death on July 29, 1998. Marie had been a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church for 80 years. During this time, she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and held such jobs as finance secretary and president of the Women's Society of Christian Service. She also served on the nominating, memorial and communion committees. Marie volunteered in the Hospitality Room at Mercy Hospital and at the Muskegon City Rescue Mission. SURVIVIORS include 2 children, Marvin D. (Carolyn) Reinertson of Muskegon and Laura (Gary) Reed of Norton Shores, 4 grandchildren, Eric (Julie) Reinertson of Montana, Lisa (Scott) Little of Muskegon, Branden Reed of Muskegon, Cambria (Joshua) DeHoag of Hudsonville; and 6 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Ringler. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Lakeside United Methodist Church on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial has taken place in Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIALS to Lakeside United Methodist Church or the Muskegon City Rescue Mission will be appreciated.
