Marian Blaske

Mrs. Marian E. (DeVette) Blaske, age 88, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009. She was born in Muskegon, MI on March 1, 1921 to A. C. and Kathryne (Borgerding) DeVette and graduated in 1939 from Muskegon High School. She was a member of the former Central Reformed Church, where she married George John Blaske on April 22, 1949, and where she was active in the Women's Guild. She had been an Avon Sales Consultant for 30 years. She was an avid sports and Detroit Tiger fan who also enjoyed Bingo, music, dancing and sewing, and above all, her family. Her children thank all who cared for their mom through the years. SURVIVORS Son, George (Debbie) Blaske of Rochester Hills, MI; daughters, Rev. Kathy Jo Blaske of New Jersey, Judy (Marty) Weyand of Indianapolis, IN; brother, William H. DeVette of Jenison, MI; grandsons, Steven (Kate) Blaske of IN, Philip Blaske of Rochester Hills, MI; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. SERVICE Saturday, October 10, 2009, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Kathy Jo Blaske officiating. VISITATION Friday, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon.
