Margaret Stuit

Mrs. Margaret V. Stuit, age 90, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, March 17, 2009. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 30, 1918 to Walter & Agnes (Olsen) Etterman. Margaret married Fred Thompson on January 2, 1940 and together they had 3 children. After Fred's passing she met and married John W. Stuit on September 2, 1967. Mrs. Stuit had been employed at the State of Michigan Unemployment Office until retiring in 1985. She was a life long member of Lakeside Baptist Church and will be missed greatly. SURVIVORS Daughter, Joan (Dale) Meeusen of Muskegon; step daughter, Gayle (Jim) Siefert of SC; grandchildren, Heather (Todd) Wolf, Todd Meeusen, Stephanie (Shane) Plichta; great grandchildren, Tyler & Sidney; brother, Warren (Lise) Etterman; many nieces & nephews; adopted grandaughter, Amber Bolin; best friend, Lila Verhulst. She was preceded in death by husbands, Fred Thompson in 1955, John Stuit in 1973; daughters, Carol Sue Thompson, 1949, Paula Thompson, 1977; & brother, Howard Etterman 1970. SERVICE Friday, March 20, 2009, 11:00 AM at Lakeside Baptist Church with Pastor Leslie Lew officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, March 19, 2009, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: American Cancer Society.
