Margaret Merle

Mrs. Margaret I. Merle, age 93, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012. She was born in Sparta, WI on January 12, 1919 to George & Rose (Larry) Rowell. Her family moved to Grand Haven when she was 7 and she resided there until she married Frank Merle on March 18, 1938. Mrs. Merle had been a loving homemaker who enjoyed embroidery, word find and crossword puzzles, as well as, traveling with her daughters and their families. Margaret spent every moment she could get with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Daughters, Pauline (Warren) Stepanek of Grand Haven, Barbara (Charles) Barbier of Muskegon; son, Frank (Suzette) Merle of FL; grandchildren, Gregory (Sally) Stepanek, Joel Stepanek, Brigitte Barbier, Brett (Pam) Barbier, Belinda Barbier, Brice (Rebecca) Barbier, Brandy (Robert) Woziak; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; 8 sisters and 5 brothers. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, March 31, 2012, 11:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Ken Shady officiating. MEMORIAL: Harbor Hospice.
