Kelly, Margaret Mary Muskegon, Michigan Margaret Mary, aka "Peggy" and "Maggie" Kelly, age 70, passed away at her home Monday, December 14, 2020. She was born in Muskegon, MI on June 5, 1950 to Leo and Margaret (LeFevre) Kelly. Peggy grew up attending St. Jeans Catholic Church/school and was a 1968 graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School. She worked various jobs through the years including a school bus driver, a medical technician in Chicago and a postal worker at the Spring Lake Post Office, retiring in 2012. Her entrepreneur/adventurous side had a business in the early 1980's called 'Watermaloon'. She sold watermelon (and a few other fruits) by the piece from a refrigerated cart much like the popsicle carts back in the day. She hitched the cart to her three-wheeled bike and rode to Pere Marquette, neighborhoods in town, and even put it on a trailer to sell her watermelon at the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival. A very kind, caring, compassionate person, Peggy was always a lot of fun to be with and the favorite Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She made the time they spent together very special, talking with them, doing things they enjoyed doing ...like going for rides in her convertible... endearing her to them for a lifetime. She treasured and loved her family and many friends... always a lot of laughter. There were the lively and spirited poker and card games she enjoyed so much with family and friends. Peggy's favorite place, no matter the time of year, was the beach, especially Pere Marquette. She enjoyed the water, sand, warmth, sunsets, a sandwich and conversation with family or friends, a place to think, a place to appreciate the natural beauty that brought peace and calm. Peggy left us with many fond memories. SURVIVORS She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings; David (Rae) Kelly of New Providence, NJ, Phil Kelly of Muskegon, Patty MacAskill of Chicago, Kevin Kelly of Muskegon, Louise (Scott) McClure of Allegan & Rick Kelly of Miami; sister-in-law Mary Kelly, brother-in-law Sam Langeland, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Annie Kelly, Jeanne Langeland and Kathy Kelly; brothers, Brian Kelly and Charlie Kelly; nephews Daniel Kelly & Joe Casarez; sister-in-law Chris Kelly and brother-in-law John MacAskill.
