CARLSON, MRS. MARGARET I. NELSON Ludington Margaret I. Nelson Carlson entered glory on May 23, 2005. She was born August 12, 1911, in Ludington, MI to Ingeborg and Oscar Nelson, and following her high school graduation, moved to Muskegon, where she worked in the office of Hardy's Department Store. In 1936, she married Arthur W. Carlson, who preceded her in death in 1985. For the past two years, she lived in Ludington. Margaret was a secretary at Mark-Pack, Inc. for nearly 25 years until her 1975 retirement. She was an active member of Lakeside Baptist Church, where through the many years she served as a Pioneer Girls Club leader, Sunday School teacher, deaconess, and in many other capacities. She is survived by her two daughters, Janet Ken Smith of Batavia, OH and Judy Jack Mohan of Ludington, four grandchildren, Margot Joe Zembas, Victoria David Raquet, Stephen Lyn Munson, Bradley Ebeth Haartz, 11 great-grandchildren, sister Lillian Barton of Muskegon and brothers Robert Marion Nelson of Ludington and Edward Dorothy Nelson of Lakewood, CO, numerous nieces and nephews, and special love daughter Mary Grandmason Kahkola. Margaret will be lovingly remembered for her gracious spirit and generous love, not only to her family but to many others as well to whom she gave of herself. SERVICE Friday, May 27, 2005, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Ron Johnson officiating. VISITATION Thursday, 7-9 PM at the Clock Funeral Home.
