Marcia Engle

Mrs. Marcia Jeanne Engle, age 86, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at her home. She was born Marcia Jeanne Peppard on June 6, 1921, to Fred Mason and Florence V. (Ross) Baldwin in Ann Arbor, MI. On April 26, 1941, she married Frank Engle in Muskegon. She was employed in advertising for JC Penney for 17 years before retiring in 1986. Marcia was a member of St. Francis de Sales, where she volunteered for many parish activities in her younger years. She was very involved in the PTA and was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Lakeside Eagles. Marcia loved to read, was actively involved in writing and was a published writer. She loved to fish and was a great cook and baker. She also loved tending the roses in her garden and especially loved her family and grandchildren. Marcia is survived by her 4 sons: Daniel Engle of Palm Harbor, FL, Bruce (Sue Ann) Engle of Muskegon, Frank A. Engle of San Diego, CA, and Pat (Diana) Engle of E. Lansing; her daughter, Terry (Ed) Kuznar of Fruitport; 13 grandchildren: Jason and Ben Engle; Matt Riegler, Becky Matakas, David and Andy Riegler; Leah Engle; Adrienne, Aaron, Hannah and Frank Engle, Jr.; and Ian and Sonia Engle; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends. Marcia was preceded in death by her husband Frank in April 1978. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 23, 2007, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church,2929 McCracken Ave., with Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding.
