Marcella Zwart

Mrs. Marcella (Shaw) Zwart, age 87, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Hackley Visiting Nurse Hospice. She was born January 15, 1921 in Flint, MI to the late John and Susan (Holly) Shaw. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Cornelius "Bud" Zwart; two daughters: Amber Joy and Marcella Ruth; and her eight brothers and sisters. Surviving are her son, Frank & Nancy Johnson; grandchildren: James Johnson, and Melissa, Melanie and Darren of Colorado; and great grandchildren: Dylan and Kayla. Marcella enjoyed needlework crafts, reading and liked to write poetry. She was a member of Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene, 2270 S. Mill Iron Road where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4th at 11:00 with Pastor Edd Wilder officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service (10-11). Interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hackley Visiting Nurse Services & Hospice.
