Malcolm "Mac" Blanchard BLANCHARD, MR. MALCOLM ''MAC'' Formerly of Muskegon, MI Malcolm "Mac" Blanchard, son of Helene Bragg and Leonard Blanchard passed away Sun. Jan. 8th after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born Nov. 22, 1926 in Bangor, Maine. He was preceded in death by his wife the former Vivian Sterling and a grandson Brenten. He later married Maxine Morris Veeder. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Muskegon, and Our Savior Lutheran Church of McAllen and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in W.W. II. After his retirement from Fleet Engineers he enjoyed his leisure time traveling, listening to big band music and watching Michigan football games. Survivors include his wife, Maxine; two sons, Steve (Jerry) of Minn. and Larry (Laurie) of New York; two granddaughters, Hilary and Courtney; step children, Ronald (Mary) Spahr, Gail Durfee, Rex (Jeri) Steele, Kathy (George) Lauman, Ray (Beverly) Veeder and Dennis Rodell; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Virgil (Catherine) Morris and sister-in-law Evelyn Kamp. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 12th at 1:00 P.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church of Mc Allen with the Rev. Steve Herzberg officiating. Memorial contributions: Our Savior Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Muskegon, MI.
