Mable E. "Bubbie" Connell

Mrs. Mable E. "Bubbie" Connell, age 89, passed away Friday afternoon, August 15, 2008 in Muskegon. She was born June 27, 1919 to Floyd and Harriet (Slater) Hamilton in Muskegon, and lived in the West Michigan area for most of her life. Mrs. Connell worked at Howmet for 25 years before retiring. She married Lloyd E. Connell on April 20, 1940 in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2003. SURVIVORS include 1 daughter, Nancy Jo (Ron) Keur of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren, Ron (Claudia) Keur, Jr., Christopher (Linda) Keur, Kary (Geoff) Nichols, Joshua J. (Jennifer) Keur, Sonya (David) Durham, and Jeffrey Reeves; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Olive Chandler of Holton. She was also preceded in death by 1 son, William "Bill" Connell in 2007; 1 brother, Charles Hamilton; and 4 sisters, Inez Cober, Lila Wright, Lois Raymond, and Dot Kekoni. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home will be 6-8 PM Monday evening.
