Lynelle Kay Chittenden

Lynelle Kay Chittenden, age 79, of Grand Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

She was born on May 26, 1946, in Ipswich, Australia, to Robert and Merle (Butler) Ickes. As a young child, she moved to the United States and spent her life in the Grand Haven area. For many years, Lynelle was a dedicated factory worker at Kent Products and Automatic Springs.

Lynelle was a resident of Pinewood Place in Grand Haven, where she was part of a close-knit community of neighbors and friends. Though she kept to herself, she will be remembered by those who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Angie Chittenden-Baumgarner; her brother, Robert "Mike" (Mary) Ickes; and her sister, Lori (Brian) Parrott. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Patricia "Patti" Gankema; and her brother, Timothy "Timmy" Ickes.

Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. Her cremated remains will be laid to rest at Nunica Cemetery in the spring.
