Lyla B. Swords SWORDS, MRS. LYLA B. Muskegon Mrs. Lyla B. Swords, age 94, died Saturday, January 7, 2006. She was born July 2, 1911 in Kalkaska, MI to Charlie A. & Bessie (Luyster) Simonson & married Earl E. Swords March 29, 1929 in Muskegon. He preceded her in death April 23, 1994. SURVIVORS 3 sons, Richard Swords of Muskegon, Donald (Janice) Swords of Mt. Prospect, IL & Kirby (Karen) Swords of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Barbara Rasmussen of Muskegon & Kay (Chuck) George of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; 3 step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; 1 grandson, Steven Vanderberg; 1 great grandson, Samuel Swords; 2 sisters, Zora Vallier & Olive Paggeot; 2 sons-in law, Paul Vanderberg & Cecil Rasmussen; 1 daughter-in-law, Delores (Brace) Swords. SERVICE Saturday, January 14, 2006, 3:00 PM, at the Clock Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Boersema officiating. Interment at Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION Saturday, 1 hour prior to the service at the Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Hackley VNS Scolnik Hospice House. Clock - Muskegon
