Lyals, Luella Izell Muskegon, Michigan Mrs. Luella Izell Lyals, age 99, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023. She was born in Millvale, PA on September 23, 1923 to Lynn & Orpha (Cochran) Smith and graduated from Muskegon High School. Luella was a wonderful baker who owned and operated The Cookie Shop in Lumbertown which turned into the Waterfront Centre during the 1980's in Muskegon. She also enjoyed doing cross stitch and knitting. SURVIVORS grandchildren, Debora (Greg Welch) Baker, David VanEtten; great-grandchildren, Matthew Coppedge, Dylan Theiste, Tyler Baker, Kiya White, Kaley Coppedge, Lilly Coppedge; son-in-law, Larry VanEtten. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barbara VanEtten; first husband, Germay Rouse, and second husband, Ted Lyals; brother, Lynn Smith Jr.; sisters, Eileen, Loretta, and Ione SERVICE There will be no service for Luella.
