Lucille Tejchma

Lucille A. Tejchma, age 79, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at her home. She was born June 13, 1927, in Wheaton, IL, to John and Celia (Rapp) Bethke, and she married Walter Tejchma on October 30, 1948, in Muskegon. Mrs. Tejchma moved to the Grand Haven area from Norton Shores and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grand Haven. She was formerly employed as a switchboard operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Company. She was an Avon lady, and she willingly gave of her time to volunteer at the VA hospital. She also enjoyed playing cards, ping pong, Chinese Checkers, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband, Walter; three daughters: Carol Waldrop of South Lyon, MI, Jean Ann (Clyde) Durgan of Norton Shores, and Rhonda K. (Harris) Tejchma of Grand Haven; three sons: Ray W. (Judy Ann) Tejchma of Ferrysburg, Paul (Linda) Tejchma of Grand Haven, and David (Sherry) Tejchma of North Muskegon; fourteen grandchildren: Ray Jacob Tejchma, Christina Marie Tejchma, Kimberly Sanford, Meghan Leigh Waldrop, Michael Stephen Waldrop, Andrea Marie Payne, Paul Jacob Tejchma, Jr., Chad Allen Tejchma, Jonathan William Tejchma, Ashley Nicole Tejchma, Shana Lee Tejchma, Brandi Lynn Tindall, Amanda Jean Fierros, and Bruce Leon Harris III; and seven great-grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert and Warren Bethke. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2007, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grand Haven with Rev. William Langlois as celebrant. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Robinson Township Cemetery. Memorials to the American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice are appreciated.
