BELL, LARSEN MRS. LUCILLE CAROLYN Muskegon, MI Mrs. Lucille Carolyn Larsen Bell, age 89, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at her home in North Muskegon with her family beside her. She was born on May 30, 1913 to Harold & Christine Larsen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; sisters, Bernice & Heraldyne & an infant brother, Gene. She married B. Edward Bell on June 27, 1940 & is survived by her 5 children, Lianne C. Kennedy, Annette Wayne Coluccio, Verne Bell, Gary Morven Bell & Joyanne Arthur Converse; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Harold Dawn Larsen & Gerald Phyllis Larsen; several nieces & nephews. She was a lifelong resident of Muskegon where she fulfilled her passion of music. She was a very accomplished concert pianist/harpist & taught piano. She studied music at the Milwaukee Conservatory of Music & the youngest pianist to accompany the Milwaukee Symphony in its history while still in junior high & later accompanied the West Shore Symphony. She was a board member for the National Federation of Music Clubs, past state president & board member of the Michigan Federation of Music Clubs; local historian for Cecilian Civic Music Club; member of the Muskegon Womens Club & a lifelong member of Our Saviors Church where she often sang or accompanied the choir & her mother was one of the past choir directors. She devoloped a music program & volunteered her talents as a music teacher at local schools when she learned their music programs were being cut back. SERVICE Saturday, April 5, 2003, 10:00 AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with Pastor John Grostic & Pastor Thomas Williamsen officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
