Loyce Tapken

Mrs. Eloyce D. "Loyce" Tapken, age 90, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014. She was born in Hurley, SD on December 1, 1923 to Emil & Eva (Masters) Sween and married Duane Tapken on April 27, 1944 in San Diego, CA. Loyce had been a loving homemaker and long time member of Unity Church of Muskegon. She was a former Board Member for Habitat for Humanity, Unity Church of Muskegon, Legal Aid and Every Woman's Place for which she was a founding member. Loyce was very politically active and passionate about her community. She made a difference. SURVIVORS Daughters, Robin (Michael) Isaacs of TX, Chris (Dan) Krumm of OK; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; sons, J. Rock daughter, Susan (Marc) Fortunato; granddaughter, Heather Grant; two brothers and 3 sisters. SERVICE Tuesday, August 12, 2014, 1:00 PM at Unity Church of Muskegon with Rev.
